Getting In Touch With The Teacher • Send in a note or email with any transportation changes or if your child is going home with a friend • If you are aware of any future absences or vacations, please send a note or email • Please send lunch money in an envelope and include: lunch number, full name, and teacher name

Reading and Rhyme • Poetry is a great way to improve reading fluency • The students will be collecting poems throughout the year • Folders can be taken home on Fridays • Students can recite poems for the class if they would like; please initial mastered poems
Social Studies Feel free to look through your child’s book on their desk! Some of our topics include: communities, needs and wants, government, and caring for the environment

Math Facts • Goal: To memorize addition and subtraction facts. • NEW! Flash Cards • Keep flash cards in school bags • Students meet with me to try their facts and then get a new set if memorized • Addition cards: pink • Subtraction cards: green • Save cards for review and practice
