  2. Introduction Of The Gamelan.. • Gamelan is a type of traditional indonesian

  3. Mythology • According To Javanese Myths, gamelan was created by Sang Hyang Guru in AD 230, the god who ruled as king of all Java from a palace on the Maendra mountains in Medangkamulanwhich is now known as Mount Lawu. The reason he created the gamelan was because he needed something so that he could call out to the gods.

  4. History • Today according to history the gamelan is used for ceremonies, puppet shows and some people could even dance to the music of the gamelan. The Puppets that are used to be played in gamelan shows are called wayang. Wayangs are traditional Indonesian puppets used to entertain people in the past, present and future.

  5. Instruments • Bonang • Saron, Demung and Peking • Slenthem • Gender • Gong ageng, gong, suwuk, and kempul • Kenong • The drums • Ketuk and kempayang
