Log 203 R&M course basics • Acq Log Level II requirement • Web-based only (since May 2001) • 7 modules (1 per TLO) • An exam after each module and a comprehensive end-of-course exam • Approximately 17 hours of student time (formerly a 3-day classroom course) • 884 graduates in last 12 months • 88 students currently enrolled

Log 203 R&M TLOs • TLO 1: Given the position of acquisition logistician in a program office, explain how the product’s R&M will affect the measures of logistics support. • TLO 2: Given the position of acquisition logistician in a program office, explain how the product’s R&M will affect the measures of combat capability • TLO 3: Given a MNS, develop operational and contractual R&M requirements • TLO 4: While reviewing a company’s proposal, consider all the activities that contractors may select in designing for reliability.

Log 203 R&M TLOs cont’d • TLO 5: While reviewing a company’s proposal, consider all the activities that contractors may select in systems design for a more maintainable product. • TLO 6: Given an acquisition program, explain two types of reliability testing aimed at reducing the risk of failures and high support costs. • TLO 7: Given the position of acquisition logistician in a program office, explain how to keep manufacturing from adversely impacting the product’s reliability.
