Semi-Annual Credential Process with Orientation Requirement Key: General Council Applicant District Orientation Divisions Applicant prepares for scheduled orientation: $100 credentialfee, photo, official transcript(s), pre-written testimonies: Salvation & Baptism in the Holy Spirit and Call to Ministry] District verifies readiness to participate in orientation: education, previous marriages, potential credit issues (i.e. liens, bankruptcies, etc.) District issues invitation to applicant for orientation and specifies what applicant is to bring Applicantcontacts district Orientation Part One: Secretariat Admin. Asst. collects documents, photos, fees, and written testimonies; leads applicants through application completion, and notarizes documents. • Orientation Session: • Application completion and review • Written testimonies • Lunch with Interviewers • Overview with Superintendent and Exec. Secretary • One-on-one review of application with screener-preliminary intro to district leaders Orientation Part Two: Get Acquainted Luncheon for Applicants, Directors, & Presbyters, Interviewers Orientation Part Three: District Vision and Credential Overview : Supt. and Exec. Sec. Interviewers review application documents and prepare for interviews District runs background check & references, schedules exam & credential interview with committee and informs applicants, grades exam Applicant is scheduled forand completes credential exam Orientation Part Four: Small Group Interaction with Team Interviewers meet in small groups with applicants to review application responses and to clarify any issues raised by the application or testimonies. District reviews credential interviewers’ assessments & prepares documentation for Executive Presbytery meeting Applicant attends scheduled interview with geographical area credential committee General Council Credential Committee reviews. General Council issues credential. District sends original applications, information authorizations, background check, and fees to General Council Credential Committee District Executive Presbytery reviews applications and approves/disapproves applications
