CoP for pro-poor fisheries and aquaculture development: Rationale for IFAD Rationale Acknowledging IFAD’s relatively limited expertise and resources in fisheries and aquaculture it is reasonable to seek partnerships with external knowledge centres.
Knowledge-sharing and learning in IFAD- Community of Practice (CoP) Approach
CoP for pro-poor fisheries and aquaculture development: Objective for IFAD • To facilitate the mainstreaming; • to enhance inter-sectoral linkages and • to reduce potential interface conflicts of fisheries and aquaculture related activities in IFAD investments through strengthened strategic interaction/collaborations with partner institutions (public and private, formal and informal)
CoP for pro-poor small-scale fisheries and aquaculture development: Nature • Connection and coordination mechanism for strategic partnerships between small-scale fisheries and aquaculture development practitioners, managers, researchers, producer organizations and other stakeholders institutions • Building on the work, experience, knowledge and tools of the participating partners
