Natural England • RDPE budget details not yet finalised with DEFRA: no regional breakdown yet • Regional targeting statements important factor in assessing HLS applications 2011/2012 • Option selection focused on meeting priority objectives • NE moving to new structure in April
Forestry Commission • Announcements about budget settlement forthcoming • Review of legislation • Likely to be major structural change • Closer working with Defra family • Current grants likely to continue to 2013 • Grants/regulation function not to be confused with proposed sell off.
GOEM: Localism & Planning (1) • Councillors no longer subject to predetermination on planning issues • Local referenda if 5% of residents or majority of councillors support proposals • Community Right to Challenge • Assets of Community Value • Councils responsible for EU fines • Community Infrastructure Levy
