  3. Long - Term Goal • Adopt 21st century teaching approaches to enhances student observation, critical thinking and integrating skills of science. “ to get started, you must have a destination”

  4. Long - Term Goal cont… • To enable students to use IT to gain access to additional information sources, assist in observing, experimenting, demonstrating, handling, and presenting evidence using tables, graphs, maps, charts, word processing and spread sheets.

  5. Short - Term Goal To enable students to: • Discuss the different types of muscles and joints. . • Recognize that animals with skeleton have muscles attached to the bones. • To use IT in developing analytical thinking by using different software's related to scientific concepts. • Understand that muscles work in pair . • Demonstrates the working of a muscle.

  6. Subject: Science Grade : IV UNIT: Moving and growing Topics : • Contracting Muscles

  7. Subject: Science cont… Content : Explanation, discussion, group activities, project work. Skills : Listening, reading, observing, researching, demonstration.

  8. Instructional Strategies and Tasks • I will apply known to unknown strategy by asking questions from the students. • I will give demonstration by showing them the model of muscle. • I will ask children to label the diagram in the given worksheet . • I will take students to the computer lab and giving them task to do on computer by using different softwares (e.g. Simulation Explorer Software) • I will ask children to complete their written exercises.

Solutions to Anticipated Challenges Challenges: • Students will get hyper while doing the demonstration • Not many computers in the ICT lab • Lack of resources to teach Solutions: • Will give the time limit and incentives to those who completes the task on time. • Will divide the class into two groups, one group in the ICT lab working on their task while the other group sitting in the class will complete their record sheet. • Will arrange resources from different sections of PAF chapter and preparing resources.
