Mass Media • Cellphones, Blackberries, iPhones, AIM, Skype, Chatrooms, MySpace, Facebook make it easy to connect.
Societal Impact • Children born after 1985 don’t remember a life without cellphones, computer and the internet • Some studies show that too much screen time can be damaging to a child’s physical health (such as obesity) and cognitive development • Children under the age of 5 shouldn’t need play with anything “electronic” • Impairs creativity
