Employment promotion office Its tasks are: • activities connected to coordination of social security system in EU member states , • supporting, coordination and implementation of the EURES network in the area of Śląskie voivodship, • implementing tasks resulting from international arrangements related to international flow of employees, • implementing activities in the field of job agency at regional level, • registration of (private) job agencies, • organizing of job fair and participating in ones organized by other institutions.
Coordination of social security system • issuing certificates regarding unemployment benefit transfer • issuing decision regarding keeping the right to receive unemployment benefit by EU citizens • issuing decisions about summing up periods of employment • issuing decisions about unemployment benefit taking into account summarised periods of employment • applying for forms confirming periods of insurance to liaison bodies
Implementingthe EURES networktasksinthearea of Śląskie voivodship • Providing information for the unemployed and job seekers about employment possibilities, living and working conditions, situation on EU labour market; informing Polish employers about hiring the unemployed and job seekers from EU countries. • Providing international job agency for Polish employers interested in recruiting the unemployed and job seekers from EU countries. • Providing international job agency for employers from EU countries interested in recruiting Polish workers. • Participating in Transborder Partnership EURES-T Beskydy between Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia
Implementation of international agreements • Poland has got bilateral agreements with governments of Germany, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Spain and Jersey Island. • Since 1.01.2007 by the decision of Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs most of tasks were given to Main Headquarter of Voluntary Labour Corps. • WUP still recruits students to seasonal work in Germany.
National jobagency • Informing job seekers about the possibility of job searching through Central Base of Job Offers, • Informing employers about the necessity of notifying job vacancies in one of district labour offices, due to company premises, location of working place or an office chosen by oneself. • Activities in the field of national job agency are kept in cooperation with district labour offices.
Registration of jobagencies • registration and crossing out entities from the list, • issuing certificates confirming registration, • complex reporting about job agencies’ activities in whole voivodship, • control.
Job fairs • Organizing the biggest in voivodship European Fairs of Entrepreneurship, Job and Education, • Organizing Polish-Czech-Slovakian Transborder Fairs of Job, Entrepreneurship and Education, • Participating in job fairs organized by district labour offices, voluntary labour corps and universities.
