  2. 2011 IEEE Meeting Series III - Highlights • November 15-21 in New Brunswick • Starts with committees, then boards and finally Board of Directors meeting • See http://www.cvent.com/events/ieee-meeting-series-november-2011/agenda-6df5e84f7ab54ef6ac09459689ede3bc.aspx • Key actions • Postponed discussion/action on “bundled society membership” (financial uncertainties) • Conference quality efforts will grow significantly • Approved China Communications periodical (w/CIC) and IEEE T-Wireless Computing for Healthcare (Phase 1 – 2013 launch; w/SPS, CS) • Continued discussing Open Access publication strategies (e.g., IEEE-wide “IEEE Forum,” society-specific trials) • Applying for “.IEEE” top domain name • ComSoc shown in IEEE Executive Director’s report to Board of Directors – see http://services35.ieee.org/organizations/corporate/bod_info/bn11/b05p.pdf Slide 2
