  2. 10 ROTARY CLUB OF POONA NORTH, DIST 3131 INDIACELEBRATED GOLDEN JUBILEE 1960-2010 Cow Project Project Leader : PP Sadanand Shanbhag • Project: Donation of 100 Crossbred Cows, Sheds, Training to Economically backward rural families. • Outlay : US$ 55,600- ExecutionPeriod : 2011-12 • Fund Sources : Global Grants • Local Social Organization : Janaki Devi Bajaj Gram Vikas Sanstha • Beneficiaries : 100 Marginal Farmer Families in10Villages in Dist Pune. • Expected Impact : • * Income increase from US$ 60 to- US$ 145- Per Month /Cow/Family * Multiplying Exponentially (1 Calf /every 15 months : In 3 yrs100 cows will give 95 bulls & 105 cows .. Continue forever). • * Milk Productivity up from 3 to 12 Lit/day/cow. • * Affordability of education to the children of these families. • * Project will become catalyst in prosperity. • Experience : Already donated 250 cows, sheds, training to 250 families with 3 x Matching Grants during 2005-10 with International Partner : Rotary Club of Enschede Noord , Netherland.
