  2. Article XVIII. Of obtaining eternal Salvation only by the Name of Christ They also are to be had accursed that presume to say, That every man shall be saved by the Law or Sect which he professeth, so that he be diligent to frame his life according to that Law, and the light of Nature. For Holy Scripture doth set out unto us only the Name of Jesus Christ, whereby men must be saved.

  3. Salvation of unreached people • Scripture speaks largely indirectly to the eternal fate of unreached people • Their moral accountability is clear, as is God’s judgment; universalism is biblically unsustainable, but God’s justice and graciousness are absolute • “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.” Acts 10:34-5 Francesco Trevisani, Peter baptizing Cornelius, 1709

  6. Taking a strong stand on a firm foundation But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Truth, revelation and credibility • Religious relativists claims the ability to harmonize all religions into a unified truth transcending dogma, but their view of truth is subjective—it comes from no definite source • “The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true.
