Tips for Successful Measurement • Measure by numbers or percentages • Align communication metrics to program goals/objectives • Keep it simple: communicate three achievable metrics that are being used to measure success • Provide direction in communication on what individuals can do to help achieve the metric • Build baseline measures to assess communication impact/if messages resonate (is outcome achieved?)
Alegent Health’s Internal Communication Objectives Increase understanding of the connection between individual contributions and the fulfillment of strategic priorities. Increase appreciation of the value of being part of Alegent Health, including the rewards of being an Alegent Health employee. Equip managers to effectively and consistently communicate to employees by: Articulating expectations of managers in communicating. Improving managers’ understanding of business literacy Increasing managers’ awareness and use of communication tools Increase opportunities for employees to connect with each other and Alegent Health 6
