  1. In view of the coronavirus scare, Tirupati temple authorities have appealed devotees with symptoms of cough, cold and fever to avoid the pilgrimage. This was announced after the temple authorities held a meeting to discuss ways to prevent the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) threat on the hill shrine. In case the authorities find someone suffering from these symptoms, they will screen him/her with thermo screeners at the SrivariMettu and Alipiri and also extend them medical advice and care. 3. To make things easier for the pilgrims, TTD (TirumalaTirupatiDevasthanams) has introduced the facility to cancel pre-boded tickets for special Darshan, accommodation and sevas. A decision has been taken by the TTD to refund the special entry darshan fees of 300 INR (charged per head), advance fees paid by the devotees for ArjithaSeva advance booking and accommodation in Tirupati, Tirumala. The amount will be refunded if the devotees either postpone their Darshan date or cancel their tickets till May 2020. This is not a usual thing because as per policy, TTD doesn’t refund such payments if the devotees cancel their plans. https://www.facebook.com/tirupati.balaji.bhaghwanhttp://tirupati-balaji.com

  4. Medical camps will be run by the Medical Wing of TTD and the health department at both the footpath routes. These camps will also be run at the Alipiri toll gate and sufficient paramedical staff will be appointed. There will be medicines and screening equipment available for the sake of pilgrim. If someone had booked ArjithaSeva ticket, they will be given the option to change the dates or refund on cancellation. The same will be applicable for pilgrims who had booked Rs. 300 Darshan and accommodation booked in advance till 31st May. If you want more information or if you have any doubts related to the cancellation of tickets, you can send an email at dyeotemple@gmail.com to get a quick response. Also, you can call the TTD call centre staff to more guidance in this context. https://www.facebook.com/tirupati.balaji.bhaghwanhttp://tirupati-balaji.com

  5. Even NRIs and foreigners have been appealed to postpone their pilgrimage to Tirumala for the coming 28 days from the day they stepped in India. This is in view of Government of India not issuing visas to foreigners till 15th April 2020. Due to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) threat, there has been a significant reduction in the crowd coming to Tirumala. Devotees who already have a time slot are getting to do easy Darshan without waiting in long Vaikuntham queues. However, authorities have instructed to allow not more than 250 devotees in each compartment of the complex as compared to the usual 450-500 people. This is because they want to take extra precautions to avoid the spread of the virus, if any. https://www.facebook.com/tirupati.balaji.bhaghwanhttp://tirupati-balaji.com
