Life for Kids Kids begin chores as soon as they are able. They help do dishes, wash clothes, dust, and clean their rooms. Boys sometimes do less work around the house than girls. When they’re not in school, doing homework, or helping around the house, Romanian children play hide-and-seek, hopscotch, blind man’s bluff, and other games. If there’s a park nearby, they might go there to play soccer or ride bikes. Kids also like to play computer games. Romanian children go to school starting at age six. In the early grades, they are required to wear school uniforms, but students can wear what they want after that. Also, there are no school buses, so kids walk to school, get rides from their parents, or take public transportation. Romanian students take classes in biology, history, math, and geography. They also study Romanian and two foreign languages. After elementary school and secondary school, most students either look for jobs or attend vocational schools for further job training. Only the top students are able to attend universities, and they must pass very difficult exams to get in.
Sports Soccer is their favorite. They also enjoy rugby, basketball, swimming, table tennis, and other sports. Hiking, cycling, and skiing are popular outdoor activities. Romania has done well in international competitions, especially in gymnastics, weight lifting, rowing, and tennis. Nadia Comaneci Play
Popularly known as "Dracula's Castle," Bran Castle is spectacularly situated in the Transylvanian Alps. Vlad Tepes (the Impaler), brutal inspiration for the Dracula legend, probably never stayed here.
