(1.93-95) • INDIRECT: - "It ain’t so funny, him an’ me goin’ aroun’ together," George said at last. "Him and me was both born in Auburn. I knowed his Aunt Clara. She took him when he was a baby and raised him up. When his Aunt Clara died, Lennie just come along with me out workin’. Got kinda used to each other after a little while." (3.12) • Protagonist • Round because he’s always doing something new that can get the story going from getting in trouble. He’s the start of the exciting different moments in the story. • Static because he doesn’t really learn his lesson. If he tries to change it happens very slowly then starts to fail all over again.
