ASDC • Structure • Governing Council • 17 members drawn from promoting bodies • SIAm,ACMA,FADA,DHI,NSDC • Steering Committee (NOS Committee) • Members from SIAM,ACMA,FADA,NSDC • Expert committees • Driving committee already operational • Others on Manufacturing, Sales, Service, R&D • under formalization

ASDC • Journey so far - pilot • Successfully completed initial pilot project • Developed curriculum standard, • Trained the Trainers, • conducted two validation batches, • conducted examinations, • certified students, • connected students with industry for placement, • received feedback ,prepared 10 year plan • This was done with participation from Industry • (Bosch , TOYOTA , TVS , M&M, Maruti, IMTMA) • Machinist • Auto Service Technician • Commercial Vehicle Drivers

ASDC • Journey so far- beyond pilot • MoHRD’s NVEQF project • Started with Haryana Schools-15 schools • Now launched in Himachal Pradesh-45 schools • India – EU project • NOS,Curriculum Development and LMIS • Scaling up • ASDC offices in Delhi,Pune & Chennai • 27 Training Partner’s affiliated so far > 100 centres

  6. ASDC • Overview on skilling in Auto sector • Total employment is about 20 mn • Additional jobs in 10 years about 25 -35 mn • (based on Auto Mission Plan projections)

ASDC • National Occupational Standards • Developed 50 QPs so far • this covers 75% of requirements • Work is in Progress on the balance • to be completed by end of this year • NOS Project has covered 14 cities and more • than 100 touch points in industry across • the value chain of OEMs, Suppliers, Dealers, others
