Explanation of content • Eutrophication:The process of an ecosystem producing an excess of nutrients • Causes ramprant plant growth • Usually in aquatic environments • The carbon Cycle is the cycle of the Carbon in the earth moving through an ecosystem • The common places the carbon will move through are: Ocean, Atmosphere, Biosphere, Sediment • Carbon exchanged on Earth
Detailed explanation plus related graphic Carbon Cycles is the cycle of carbon through an ecosystem. Plants absorbs carbon and release oxygen. Humans are opposite. Humans breath in oxygen and out carbon dioxide. Animals do the same as humans. Eutrophication is when excess nutrients run into aquatic environments and cause plant overgrowth.The more plants there are, the more carbon can be recycled into oxygen through the process of photosythesis.
Extra Facts-Yipee! Carbon Cycle Carbon cycles from the dirt, into the plants, then the animals eat the plants, and then humans eat the animals. When the humans die, the carbon goes back into the air and into the dirt. Humans that are still alive breathe the air and the plants get the carbon from the ground, and on and on the carbon travels. Eutrophication Erosion, sewage treatment plant discharges,and fertilizers can cause algal blooms. When plants over grow, it is called algal bloom. This results in the death of plants which then dissolve and cause dissolved oxygen to decrease. This then causes other organisms to die.

Human impact on the carbon cycle In the natural carbon cycle carbon is distributed evenly throughout the environment. Man made machines that burn fossil fuels are causing carbon levels fall off balance. As the carbon levels raise above average the global temperatures also raise. Global warming kills plants and animals and the process slows down. No animals to exhale carbon, no plants to take in carbon. Global extinction occurs. The carbon cycle stops.
