The Bonnethead’shead is smooth, rounded and shaped like A shovel. • . • The Bonnethead’s teeth, in the front of it’s mouth, are small, sharp teeth. there are bigger teeth , in the back of its mouth, for crushing prey. • The size of the Bonnethead Shark is average about 3.3 feet long.
It eats both hard shelled prey, like crustaceans and mollusks, and soft prey like small fish. • It lives in western Atlantic and eastern Pacific oceans, in the surf zones, around reefs, on sandy bottoms and eastuaries. • They give birth in shallow bays to 8 to 16 pups. Each pup is about 14 inches long. • It is a harmless, timid shark. • The average Bonnethead Shark is also known as the Shovelhead Shark
