Activity as a Regional Center HF 19746 Eppley Absolute Pirheliometer Kipp@Zonen CH 1B Pirheliometer Kipp@Zonen CH 1A Pirheliometer Controlling system
Activity as a Regional Center 1984 – Pyranometer comparison • Purpose: possible and expectable devations between the pyranometers operating in different countries • Norway, UK, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, GDR, FRG, Turkey, Austria • Results published by the WMO (Instruments and observing methods report No 16)
Activity as a Regional Center • 1997 – pyrheliometer comparison • participating countries: • Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary • Decreased interest for regional pyrheliometer comparison (it is solved in Davos) • New idea is welcome for extensing the activity as an RC
A possibility • Comparison of pyranometers? • Field intercomparison was recently organised by Croatia for our region • Comparison of calibration methods? • A possible reality: comparison of pyrgeometers
EPPLEY PIR radiometer Calibrated and modifyed in Davos CGR 4 pyrgeometer secondary standard Our standard pyrgeometers LW network – project-oriantated
