INT Parameter Space VST • For flat logN-logS, best to survey shallow and wide • WASP will find the rare bright examples of variable objects WASP
Status • WASP-N • Operated with 5 cameras for 5 months in 2004 • 2004 data reduced and available in archive • Operations with 8 cameras due to begin in April 2006 • WASP-S • Operations recently begun with 8 cameras

WASP Archive • Designed and built by Richard West (Leicester) • development on-going; issues of scaling and access times • documentation at http://www.wasp.le.ac.uk/archive/ • Archive use is a two stage process • Search the catalogue for objects of interest • Download and analyse light curves • Access is via command-line-driven perl scripts • use of web-protocols to be firewall compatible • Philosophy is avoid reinventing the wheel • Data served as FITS files, so compatible with existing software • Each user can use their favourite scripting language (e.g. IDL) • Expect users to share analysis tools for common tasks • Users can also share results via new database tables
