Green Copier Chassis Red Counter Pulse Blue White Copy Enable Orange/Yel Riso Copyguard Connection 1. Remove back cover 2. Find ‘CN31’ 3. To test ‘Card Counter Mode’ function, short pins 16 and 17 and ensure the two back cover safety switches are activated. This should cause 9 to light up on conpane. Connection to Copyguard 1. Permanently short/solder pins 16 and 17 of CN31. 2. Carefully cut away CN31’s right plastic guide and carefully bend pin 10 to the right. 3. Solder the blue wire of copyguard to pin 10, making sure it is not touching any other pin/components. 4. Solder Red wire of copyguard to a ground point on the board ie. TP38 GND or TP39 GND (pins 1,2 and 17 of CN31 are also ground points but it is much easier to use TP38 or TP39). 5. Remove front cover/door. 6. Remove counter. 7. Pass White and Orange wires from copyguard under suction unit from the rear to the front of the machine following the existing wire loom. (Extra wire maybe req’d). 8. Strip back the two wires on the copy counter and solder the White wire from copyguard to one connection and the Orange wire to the other. Riso Copy Counter 10 TP 38 or TP 39 GND
