Growing the Workforce… The President, the Congress, and the Secretary of Defense initiated aggressive actions to increase size and to improve the quality of the acquisition workforce. Since April 2009, significant progress has been achieved. Growth targets for FY2009 were exceeded and DOD is on track to meet or exceed FY2010 growth and rebalancing targets. The Department will continue to face complex challenges and must exploit opportunities to further strengthen the workforce as it moves through FY2015.
