Needs Assessment During our previous all staff meeting, I conducted a informal with Center Directors . I was able to speak to several Center Directors about daily operation in their centers. They several concerns in reference to their staff. For example; lack of commitment and dedication on behalf of their employees, frequent tardiness, and low morale. More and more, they been having many inconsistencies on behalf of their and it their daily operations.The Center Directors would like for staff to take part of a training that cover these particular issues.
Analysis After conducting an informal assessment with the Center Directors, I also conducted a formal assessment with Human Resources Department . According , to Ms. Califa, Personnel Officer ,no formal training has ever being conducted relate to work ethics. Based on my needs assessment it is in our best interest to address this matter. By providing a training to all employees on best practices in the work place we will increase both productivity and boost quality in our services.
Recommendation Based on the information gather thru my assessment it is my recommendation that we provide all employees a training on Work Ethics. My recommendation for the purposed training would be to provide on-line training. By developing a computer/ web training course, employees will be able to take the training at their designated centers.
Instructional Goal Learning objective The goal of this training is to provide us with the necessary tools and techniques to improve our work ethics in the workplace. • What is our role in the workplace. • What is consider ethical or non ethical. • How can we incorporate best practices in our workplace.
Performance Objective After completing this training, participants will be able to demonstrated understanding by: • Defining their role in their workplace. • Describing what is ethical and non-ethical. • Give example of best practices in the workplace.
Assessment of Learning Outcomes After successful completion of the course training, participants will be able to effectively demonstrated competency by: • Defining what is work ethics. • Describing what is consider ethical an non-ethical. • Identifying appropriate practices in the workplace.
Learner Characteristics This training is intended for all employees of at the center level at TMC Head Start Programs. Target Audience: Teachers Teacher- Aides Family Service Workers Bus Drivers Bus Aides Cooks/Cook Aides
Learning Context The learning objective of the training is to provide participants with the tools and techniques necessary to incorporate best practices in the work place. By providing strategies and techniques participants will develop good working habits and improve their working environment.
Learning Context Training Requirements: Hardware: Personal Computer or Laptop Internet service provider Printer Instructional Setting: The participants will be able to complete training at the designate centers.
Instructional Strategies Assessment On line Multiple Choice -Quiz a. Participants will be administered a Multiple Choice quiz to measure their comprehension of subject. b. Answer-key will be provided to participants to self-evaluate their answers.
Instructional Resources Equipment PC/Laptop: access to a computer or laptop will be needed to access training course. Printer: to print out certificate of completion. ISP: Access to internet service. Tools and Materials Needed Writing tablet/writing tools: for taking notes and registration. Other: Website address to the training course.
Formative Evaluation On-line Quiz Participants will take an Multiple Choice quiz to test the knowledge. Participants must make a score of 85 to demonstrate competence. A certification of completion will be issued at the end of the training course.
Summary In summary, in order for our organization to maintain high ethical standards we must continuously provide professional development to all our employees. By developing an online training course not only will we provide an alternative to traditional learning but also initiate a new method of learning thrutechnology.
