Ji Li Jiang Ji Li Jiang was a young Chinese girl growing up in the Cultural Revolution. While living her life, Ji Li faced many problems because of her family being considered black whelps. She went through hate, rejection, and separation. Although people tried to change who she was, she never gave in. Ji Li attended the University of Hawaii and later worked on a Hawaii hotel chain. Afterwards, Ji Li moved to Chicago and created the East West Exchange company. Presently, Ji Li is still living in the US and is a grown woman. Although she is in a different environment, she never forgets China or the Revolution.
Mao Ze-dongorGeneral Mao • As you already know, General Mao was the leader of the Cultural Revolution. He is still looked at as one of the most famous people in world history. Although, many people choose not to respect that because of high amount of deaths in China due to his rule. • General Mao’s main strategy was to eliminate the opossers to his goals and actions. Mao thought that by doing so, he would have a more powerful rule on China since there would be no competition. Such an example was Liu Shoqi. Just because he thought differently, he was removed from power by Mao and his followers.
Red Scarf Girl • The summary of ‘’Red Scarf Girl’’ was that the Cultural Revolution caused, rejection, fear, and discourage to a family in China called the Jiangs. The Jiangs learned to overcome foul judgement in hope of brighter days in the future.
