What are slaves? • Slaves are African Americans that were forced to work for whites.
Which states have slaves? • Southern states had slaves, including Virginia and North Carolina
What crop do the slaves grow? • Slaves grow rice, okra, Tania, black-eyed peas, guined melon, and yams.
How were male slaves treated? • Male slaves were treated bad; they had to plant crops and carry logs and do most of the outside work.
How girls were treated • Girls were treated bad but not bad as the boys, they had to was dishes, clean the rooms and wash clothes.
