Social Classes Upper class navigates institutions to find, use, access, and exploit resources (possibly because of power) (instrumental participant) Middleclass runs institutions, but does not necessarily derive full benefits from institutions (activeparticipant) Lower (Under) class does not know much about institutions; receives resources from institutions (passive or observational participant)
