GO Standard Operation Procedures for Import Shipment to China by Ocean and Air before shipment before arrival after arrival actions by origin agent actions by origin agent actions by FTC office • Collection of shipment information which include China importer contact details, delivery address, commodity description, HS code, shipping term, insurance coverage, FOB and freight cost, copy of the commercial invoice, packing list , CO, export license, permit, sales contract and L/C etc (if any) • Provide full set of pre-alert within 5 days after vessel departure, at least 1 day prior flight arrival • Proof of delivery returned to overseas agent or any parties demands • Demand power of attorney of import customs clearance • In case of discrepancies, e.g. unmatched commodities, quantity, damages, missing cargoes, late arrival & delivery, custom inspection, document problems, argument with China importer, un-located importers, importer’s unwilling to release or to co-operate etc • Pre-clearance before arrival for air, co-coordinating the arrival notice, DO, release formalities and procedures with carrier; reconfirm release instruction with origin agent; co-ordinate warehouse and trucking pre-arrangement if required If China importer have its own broker : closely co-ordinate with the importer’s broker for the release of original documents , delivery order and any charges collection • Confirmation of any collection fee apart from the freightage or special handling requirements and exchange rate with China importer (normally 3% add on as exchange rate fluctuation buffer) If China importer appoint Fans Trans China to do the clearance: collection of all required documents, confirmation of HS code, declared values, and commence entry formalities actions by FTC office • To reconfirm docs readiness of clearance by China importer, shipping terms/shipping mode, import rate and FOB charge, DDU or DDP price after duty and vat calculation, choice of carrier, schedule, port of entry, exactly deliver address etc actions by FTC office • Report to origin agent, the exporter, provide any available pics & docs, suggest options, solutions and procedures, seek for disposal instruction, check and quote the possible charges (e.g. demurrage and customs charge) due to the discrepancies • Pre-alert and arrival notice to China importer • If delivery required: temporary storage or direct deliver *storage: co-ordination of warehouse for space, bonded or non-bonded, reconfirm cost and quote *delivery: co-ordination with trucker, the equipments, form of delivery (in pallet or loose), booking the date and time of warehouse receiving, hand over formalities and any other special requirements • Return “GO” signal and confirm the content of AWB or BL • Reconfirm the freight and import charges (duty & vat if required) DON'T SHIP TO CHINA WITHOUT OUR GREEN SIGNAL (If cargoes arrived without our prior confirmation, we do not carry any responsibility for any import failure, delivery delay or any additional charges which may arise)
