This is really small font, which makes it very hard to read. Wow, that’s big font! Even people in the back can read it. Slides that have a whole page of long undifferentiated text are hard to read. Instead

This is really small font, which makes it very hard to read
Slides that have a whole page of long undifferentiated text are hard to read. Instead of focusing the readers’ attention, everything easily becomes a blur. Why should I be looking at this? You know what’s even worse? If the speaker just stands there, eyes to the overhead projector, reading from that dumb slide. And I have to attend this seminar every week? Well, not if this is how presentations are going to look. Thank you very much, good bye economics, I will take up basket weaving instead. Give the slide some structure • Use a title • Bullet points are good for lists of items • Don’t put too much information on a single slide • Emphasize key information but do it sparingly
