  2. College/ Career Essay • If you plan to go to college, choose an essay topic from the college of your choice. Frostburg State has several topic choices. • If you plan to go into a career/military, feature the aspects of your character that you would like an employer to know.

  3. College Admissions Essay Points • Colleges want to see how well you write • Admissions committees want to see YOU. • Write about yourself as clearly, interestingly, and honestly as you can. • Don’t write in cliches. • Have a tight focus. • Appeal to senses
