  2. The Mal Meador Youth Pilot Program In 2005 Mal Meador, a long time Boulder Aeromodelers member and model builder, passed away. In 2007 his wife donated all of his hobby items to the Boulder club to be sold and the funds used to support a youth program. With this base, and additional contributions from many of our other members, the Mal Meador Youth Pilot Program was started.

  3. The program Interested youths, under 19, are sought to participate in the program. Once accepted, a youth and a club instructor will be matched up. The club provides a complete “ready to fly” aircraft. Upon successfully completing the program, the student is given the aircraft and a membership into the club. The cost to the Boulder club for the aircraft is approximately $400.00 per student.

  4. The club The Boulder Aeromodelers Society has been continuously in operation since 1930. The club has been operational at the Boulder Reservoir since 19xx. The club is totally self supported and receives no services or funding from the City of Boulder. The Boulder field, although funded and maintained by the club, is open to any insured individual desiring to fly. The clubs 2012 membership includes active members ranging in age from 10 to 86 years old.
