    5. Why form an Athletic Association Historical Fund Raising Future Needs of the Athletic Programs Meetings: The Summit Foundation (Randy Fuller); Mayor Penhale; Dr. Brooks; AD’s – Vestavia; Mt. Brook; Briarwood; Oak Mt; Spain Park; Thompson Estimated Annual Costs of School Athletics.

    6. Mission: To employ the time, talents and resources of our parents, students, teachers, friends, and corporate citizens to develop and improve the infrastructure of the athletic programs within all Helena Schools.

    7. Goals Provide organization to support administration, coaches, and staff. Provide financial accountability. Raise funding for operational / capital expenses as it relates to supporting the needs of Helena Schools’ athletic programs.

    8. Vision Two major fundraising events per year. Multiple minor fundraisers. Two fundraisers specific to the Middle School – Panther Prowl and Coupon sales. Coordinate Sport Camps. Coordinate Community Service Events.

    9. Critical Success Factors The board must keep its focus and not become self-serving. The members must not become consumer based.
