Yarmouk University • Located in the Northern part of Jordan (City of Irbid) • Was founded in 1976 with a mission to provide quality education • ~1000 academic staff and ~2000 administrative staff • 13 faculties that offer 56 bachelor, 63 master, and 19 PhD degree programs – 11 centers for research and career development Yarmouk University

Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology • Offers engineering programs of study leading to the B.S. and M.S. degrees in eight Engineering disciplines: • Electric Power, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer, Biomedical and Medical Informatics, Architectural, Civil, and Industrial Yarmouk University

  5. Computer Engineering Department • 19 faculty members and 11 engineers and technicians serve about 600 undergraduates and about 70 graduates • Offers two special MS programs in embedded systems and industrial automation Yarmouk University

YU’s Role in OSSCOM • YU role will focus all individual efforts in the department to the direction of building an in-campus community in OSS that can also ultimately incur a change in the region. Its leading role will be in 2.3: OSS Survey report (past due), 4.2: Inventory of learning OSS material, and 6.4: business incubator Yarmouk University
