  1. Tissue Viability CABLE ProjectA personal reflection on the process of change Seems simple enough, should have bulk of the work done by Christmas October 2006 - Things to do 1. Make list of things to do 2. Do things on list! Well when I say Christmas… November 2006 - Things to do 1. Meet with CABLE project team 2. Make longer list of things to do • December 2006 - Things to do • Prepare new modules with distance and classroom based modes of delivery using blended learning approach • Get to grips with new technology e.g. pod casting, Tablets, Starboards • 2. Set up web cam and Skype for 1-1 and group tutorials at a distance • 3. Start introducing some blended learning ideas to students on existing module • 4. Get some student feedback Can nobody tell me which is the right MP3 recorder to get? Most of the so called MP3 recorders don’t actually make MP3 audio files but these are the only ones small enough to upload onto StudyNet … Ok, have worked out the right one at last, so why is is it so difficult to get one? It is so frustrating, the project is 3 months in and I just want to get on… Some good feedback! Students like the weekly audio updates, the on-line quizzes and the independent learning exercise. New Tablet laptop on order, web cam and Skype (almost) mastered • January 2007 - Things to do • Poster presentation of what we are planning to do (to all the other CABLE groups) • Apply for DMD codes for the new modules Poster of what we are planning on doing? Can we get on and do it first?! Well, at least we can use it to raise the project profile elsewhere… • February 2007 - Things to do • Write DMDs! Writing 12 DMD’s online – what an unbelievably long and tedious process. Ggrrrr... • March 2007 - Things to do • Advertising flyers, module guides, timetables • Continue learning new IT skills • Finalise Learning & Teaching strategy for new modules 3 posters accepted for conference and, best of all, new DMD’s accepted– BRILLIANT! Blended learning here we come…
