OP/BSM - Line Bore Assembly • 11x M8-1.25x45 Flange head bolts: • Maximum clamping force to eliminate fretting between upper & lower housings • maintain true roundness of bearing bores (during & after line boring Ops) • Oil pump cover mating face & dowel holes are machined in same setup to guarantee profile & flatness • Assembly clamped down at four bolt locations with actual bolt clampload force during machining ops to replicate assembled on-engine condition

OP/BSM – Balance Shafts + Bearings • Parent Metal bearings on lightly loaded journals • Proven design (Current production BSM application) split shell friction bearings: • -Low Carbon Steel back • -Federaloy A-515 lining • Total unbalance: 8.5 kg.mm • “Double D-Flat” Gerotor drive on Driven Shaft • Patented I beam design for maximum stiffness. < 3µm deflection across any journal width: • Minimal bearing edge loading • -True running transfer gears) • D4512 Ductile Iron balance shafts w/ ground + polished bearing journals surfaces (Ra 0.16)
