When a Canaanite king learned that the Israelites were traveling toward one of his cities, what did he do? • He asked Joshua to marry one of his daughters as a gift of peace. • He attacked them and took some of the people as prisoners. • He and all his people repented of their wickedness and became part of the Israelite family. • He defeated them so badly that the Israelites never went back to Canaan again.
