After You Read • Summarize – 3 sentences or less • Apply your knowledge • Find a partner • BOTH of you get out a sheet of paper • Create 3 columns like this: • Fill in the first 2 columns with information from the article. Then, select a movie or book that follows the Hero’s Journey. Fill in the 3rd column with examples from your selected book/movie.
Summary Joseph Campbell wrote a book called The Hero with a Thousand Faces. In it he explained his idea that there is only 1 hero story (the monomyth) that keeps getting retold. There are roughly 12 stages in the hero’s journey.
