Status of use of GIS in dissemination of statistics 1. • The deepest level of dissemination of the full-scope data collections is the locality in the HCSO. • Interactive maps are available on the website of the HCSO in different statistics.   6. Status of use of GIS in dissemination of statistics 2. • We can produce data deeper than locality from the census database. We mainly do it for special data requests. • We use special GIS software for this purpose. This software was developed only for this task. • We produced more hundreds of statistics with maps from the 2001 census database for data requests (Regional Operative Programme – for development of settlements). • Purchasing a more modern and user friendly GIS software is under way for utilizing 2011 census data, performing our data dissemination duties and producing data for special data requests. • Rules for handling confidentiality are the same as for other statistics in the HCSO. We do not give data less then 3 units. Availability of basic geostatistical units • The whole HCSO address database was matched with geocodes for the 2011 census. • Geocodes can be matched not only with population and dwellings, but with agricultural factories, enterprises, commercial and social units (e.g. hospitals, schools) through the address register. • At first we gave geocodes to the agricultural holdings enumerated in the 2010 Agricultural census. • Census data production is underway, in the following we can give geocodes to other statistical units.
