  1. ED 372Peace Education and Integrated Schools in Northern Ireland and U. S. • ED 372 - SPRING 2014 • 2 credits • May term travel to Belfast May 19-26, 2014 • This course explores the history, process and practices of peace education and integrated schools in Northern Ireland and the United States. Comparative methods of peace education, integrative practices, inclusion, mediation, and conflict resolution will be examined. • Students will conduct independent research with a faculty mentor that links course content to each student’s program of study. • Upon completion of the spring semester course, students will travel to Belfast to meet with Queens University faculty in the Centre for Shared Education, Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education leaders, and administrators in integrated schools.
