David and the Ark • The Philistines took the ark of the covenant 1 Samuel 4 • They sent it back to Israel after many problems 1 Sam. 5-6 • It went to Beth Shemesh6:13-18 • They looked into it and many died6:19 • They sent it to KirjathJearim6:20-7:1 • House of a Levite named Abinadab • His son Eleazar was consecrated to guard it

David and the Ark • After David became king and conquered Jerusalem, he wanted to bring the ark there 1 Chronicles 13:1-4 • He gathered all Israel v.5 • They came with the ark from KirjathJearimv.6 • They put the ark on a new cart v.7 • They praised God along the way v.8 • The oxen stumbled and the cart tipped the ark • Uzza reached out to keep it from fallingv.9 • Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark v.9
