MULTIMODE TO SINGLMODE CONVERTER Multimode to Singlemode fiber media converters provide an efficient solution for converting your 100Base and 1000Base multimode networks to singlemode networks and vice versa. It is designed to use across a variety of topologies and network architectures for shorter data transmission distances with ethernet LAN and WAN connectivity. It uses SFP technology to convert either 100BaseFX fiber or 1000Base Gigabit fiber.
MULTIMODE TO SINGLE-MODE MEDIA CONVERTER WORKING Single mode fiber converters pass only one wavelength. It transmits signals to a longer distance than multimode media converters. Multimode to single mode fiber conversion is used to extend longer distances. A Fiber to fiber converters extend a multimode network across a single mode fiber effectively up to 140 km in affordable yet powerful way. Multimode to single mode media converters feature SFP transceivers that support a wide variety of data rates and network protocols.
FEATURES • It support a broad range of single mode fiber options such as bi-directional single fiber, short reach to long reach and CWDM. • Fiber to fiber media converters are designed to FCC Part 15 Class B, CE / CISPR 22 Class B, IEC60950 Safety standards. • Multimode to Singlemode converter data speed is 1000Mbps, full duplex. • It provides two SFP slots that support standard SFP fiber transceivers. • Mounting options include wall mounting, panel mounting, Din-Rail support. • Compliance with IEEE 802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX and IEEE 802.3u 100Base-FX standards. • Plug-and-play design enables for a quick and easy installation. • LEDs for ease of network monitoring.

FACTORS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING FIBER TO FIBER MEDIA CONVERTER • Data Rates: It depends on the Bandwidth of fiber. • Fiber Modes: There are two types of fiber modes. Single mode and Multimode. Based on the requirement you can choose. • Packet Length Supported: Most of the single mode to multimode converters have packet length limitations. • Mounting: Consider the available space and other application constraints choose the fiber to fiber media converters. Desktop, wall, Rack Mounting. • Power Consumption: Ensure that the media converter has low power consumption.
