4. Mission Statement Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Regional School was founded by the Sisters of Mercy as a Catholic Community with a foundation deeply rooted in Christian teachings and traditions. By fostering relationships with the family and community we aspire to explore and develop the gifts of each child in a safe and positive environment. We develop future leaders who seek opportunities to serve the Lord and global community while responding to the needs and challenges of our time.

5. Tag line Lighting the Way This new tag line evolved in conjunction with the School Seal. The School Seal is formed inside a circle to signify our belief in a life without end. Centered in our Seal is the Cross that reminds us to keep our Lord as the center of our lives. The shamrock represents the Irish influence that our Sisters of Mercy brought to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. The carpenter’s square and the lily remind us to imitate the virtues of hard work and purity. The books signify learning; and the lamp of wisdom burns with a flame that we must keep kindled forever.

Carmel Annual Fund The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Annual Fund allows supporters of Catholic education, like you, to help advance the mission of our school and build the best community for the children. One of the principal themes of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Regional School’s mission statement is by fostering relationships with the family and community we aspire to explore and develop the gifts of each child in a safe and positive environment.

9. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Annual Fund This year the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Regional School Annual Fund will focus on the following key needs: • Enhance our use of technology with the purchase of SMART Boards for every classroom to enhance student engagement in and mastery of curriculum. • Purchase equipment for our new Science Lab to better prepare students for the challenges they will face in high school, college and the world. • Continue to improve the Music and Art Program to allow students to explore their talents and intellect.

Other Fundraising Initiatives Win Big • 2011 Goal = $100,000 (requires 4700 tickets to be sold) • Our families sold 4463 tickets in 2010 • 78 families received a total of $43,625 in tuition credits. (averages out to be $559.29 per family in tuition credits) • Win Big raises 8% of the school’s budget • Great Prizes! • An entertaining social event you won’t want to miss
