It is a series of 6 workshops that brings together parents, children, school personnel, and the community to promote high school graduation and explore options for higher education. The program Juntos-Together for a Better Education helps families come together to learn how to make the transition between high school and higher education. Tuesdays October 2nd October 9th October 16th October 23rd October 30th November 6th November 13th • Program Objectives • Motivate students to graduate from high school • Increase parent participation • Improve communication between parents and children • Increase family’s awareness of sources of higher education funding. • Promote higher education • Understand graduation requirements • Increase the feelings of empowerment that families have to defend and work to improve their local schools.
