Green Buses for the Seattle School District Suits Seattle Seattle is a perfect environment for Plug-In hybrid technology, which operates as much 75% better in the urban setting and hilly terrain. Advantages in Fuel and Emission Fuel Savings Over the life of the vehicle, a Plug-In Hybrid drive system can save as much as $17,000 in fuel costs. Plug-In Hybrid Technology The Result Expensive, but worth it A Plug-In Hybrid bus will not offset the cost of it’s own installation, but will significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Seattle would benefit greatly from exposure to this technology.
