Let’s talk Motive • A person’s motive is what causes him / her to do or say something. • For instance: Santa Clause could be a bit of a stalker as “He sees you when you’re sleeping/ He knows when you’re awake.” • However his MOTIVE is good . .. He wants to be fair and give good little boys and girls a gift. • Therefore, we wouldn’t call him creepy or bad for watching you and breaking into your house. A mom yells at her child who ran in the road after a ball. Is the mom “mean”?
