Sustained Silent Reading • 15 Minutes of SILENT reading. • Stay seated • If you do not have a book, you may use one of mine from the shelf, a top 10, or a magazine. • Follow the class rules. • Raise your hand if you have a question or need help! • NO MUSIC • C= No conversation • H= Raise your hand • A= SSR 15 Minutes • M= No movement, stay seated in YOUR desk • P= If you are ACTUALLY reading • S= Level 0

  3. Warm-Up ActivityWrite in your journal by yourself first! Make sure you keep in in there, rather than ripping it out. When everyone is done, we will talk about them as a class. lets eat grandma its raining cats and dogs were having grandpa for dinner lets go eat kids Ohhh, I see what you did there.

Classroom Rules • Treat others, and their property with respect. • Be an attentive listener. • Use positive and encouraging language at all times. • Be prepared, organized, and ready to learn every day. • Always try your best. • Use technology only at times when given permission by a teacher. • Clean up after yourself.

Character: just describe yourself! Conflict: trying to get settled in to a new place. Character vs. self Setting: describe your home, maybe your room!
