Careers in Sport and Leisure 2009 Event information for colleges, universities and their students.
March 25 - 26, 2009Sheffield Arena CSL 2009 is the first ever National careers event for the sports and leisure industry. Taking over two days in March at the Sheffield Arena, CSL will combine the biggest exhibition of its kind in the UK with ,more than 50 educational seminars and workshops from industry leading experts targeting all those that want to work in or progress in the ever competitive sport and leisure market.
Why the event is needed It is estimated that in the summer of 2008, 75,000 graduates will leave university with a qualification related to the sports and leisure industry. In addition to these graduates, there are thousands more young people taking sport and leisure related training and qualifications in the FE sector and many more looking to work in the sector that need advice, support and understanding. At any one time there are approximately 625,000 people employed in sport and leisure related jobs – but at the same time there is a distinct lack of information on the opportunities that exist across the entire breadth of the sector. CSL aims to fill this information gap and ‘open up’ the sector and the individuals and organisations within it to assist all those who aspire to work in sport and leisure.
For your StudentsAn Unrivalled Opportunity! CSL 2009 will provide a one stop shop of all the organisations a young person starting, or early into their careers would need in order to access information, guidance and advice about their future in sport and leisure. CSL will provide the unique opportunity to meet with the largest number of sports and leisure employers, recruitment agencies, training organisations, universities, membership organisations, national governing bodies and associations ever assembled in the UK. In addition, running throughout the event will be host to a series of more than 50 educational seminars, workshops and presentations that will provide the delegates with an unrivalled opportunity to listen to and interact with, some of the biggest names and most experienced individuals across all sectors of the industry.
Speakers @ CSL CSL will bring together an unrivalled list of speakers that will provide all students with an amazing insight into the world of sport and leisure and what it takes to be a success. The quality of the speakers is at the heart of the event’s educational strategy giving CSL a real USP in the market place, making this a truly national careers event.
