Gangtok • Capital City: Gangtok; in lower Himalayas; 5,800 ft alt; HQ of East Sikkim District. • Population: "Notified Town Area“: 1,98,658. 53% Males, Females 47%. • Total area: 20 Sq. Km

Research on EPR for SWM by Zero Waste Sikkim Group led by ECOSS • Title of the Study : Extended Producer Responsibility • Objective of the Study: Assess Volume –Consumption Plastic food Packaging- PET bottles - Tetra Packs in Sikkim Findings of the study • Annually 3.5 crore Plastic food packaging generated. • Annually over 55 lakh PET bottles generated. • Annually over 59 lakh Tetra Packs generated.
