Written evidence PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE • July 22th 2009 On July 21th 2009, our family had heard about the importance of this event, that this solar eclipse has been the largest solar eclipse ever since 1958. The next day, a neighbour lent us her special binoculars. Lucky, the weather was clear and was unobstructed by the clouds that I could easily see the solar eclipse. This was the 1st time that I had ever witnessed a solar eclipse.
