TRACEPartner’s Key Action European Industry Federations • Improving communication and co-ordinationwithin EWCs (EMF, EMCEF) • Implementing channels of influence and networking while exchanging information and experience for EU and local negotiation as well as for EU-policy making (EMF, EMCEF, EPSU, Uni-Europa, ETF, ETUCE) • Exploring major structural changes in the public sector in areas such as education, health and safety and local government (EPSU, ETUCE) • Identifying significant trends within key industrial sectors (EMF, EMCEF, Uni-Europa, ETF) • Influencing policy making at EU level from national trade unions (Uni-Europa) Trade unions ‘strategies’ and ‘organising’ European Union European Social Fund, Article 6 Innovative Measures

TRACEPartner’s Key Action National Confederations • Learning from trans-national restructuring (LO-S/IGMetall) • Examining the impact of restructuring on the local/regional economy and exploring innovative mechanisms for collaboration with other actors at this level (LO-D-CISL) • Designing training measures for recruitment in case of industrial change (ÖGB/TUC) • Develop knowledge and social cohesion amongst (and within) national works councils representatives involved in EWCs (CC.OO/CGTP-IN) • Developing new approaches to the provision of training and retraining and improving employability (CFDT-TUC) • Exploring possible implications of EU enlargement for economic restructuring and company relocation (SAK-EARKL) European Union European Social Fund, Article 6 Innovative Measures
